The Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics (KITP) brings together the world's leading scientists to collaborate on the most challenging questions on the nature of our universe. Questions come from fields such as dark matter, black holes, systems biology, computational neuroscience, quantum technologies, galaxy clusters, extra dimensions, the nature of turbulence, and high-TC superconductivity in new materials. Over a thousand scientists participate each year in KITP programs, and the institute's unique, comprehensive online archive of talks extends the collaborative impact of programs to the worldwide scientific community, speeding discovery. Gifts to the Kavli Institute for Theoretical Physics Director's Fund provides critical, flexible leadership support for KITP to respond to programming needs as well as fast-moving developments in emerging fields.
