The Department of Economics hosts the largest number of student majors on campus with over 2,000 undergraduates and 100 graduate students, taught by 65 faculty and lecturers. Department faculty specialize in many subfields including applied, behavioral, environmental, econometrics, financial, industrial organization, international, labor, public, and macroeconomics. The Economics Fund for Excellence stabilizes Department resources for competing needs and is strategically utilized by the Chair. Gifts to Department of Economics - Fund for Excellence support research, equipment purchases, supplies, and travel that will advance the work of students, faculty, and staff.
