Scott Linklater Memorial Scholarship Fund for Men's Golf
Scott Linklater ’03 was a proud Gaucho, beloved teammate, and lifelong advocate for the game of golf and the values it represents. To honor Scott’s life and the lasting impact he had on those around him, his Gaucho teammates, family, and friends are establishing the Scott Linklater Memorial Scholarship Fund for UC Santa Barbara Men’s Golf. Scott brought an infectious personality, deep loyalty, and genuine love for others to everything he did. As a teammate and friend, he made people laugh, brought people together, and formed relationships that lasted long beyond his years at UC Santa Barbara. His commitment to sportsmanship, friendship, community, and, above all, family defined the way he lived his life.
The Scott Linklater Memorial Scholarship Fund for Men's Golf will honor Scott’s legacy by supporting future generations of Gaucho golfers and helping provide them with the same opportunity to compete, grow, build lifelong friendships, and represent UC Santa Barbara that meant so much to Scott. Through the young men who wear the Gaucho uniform in the years ahead, Scott’s spirit and the values he embodied will continue to be remembered, celebrated, and carried forward.
